Mr. Barrett is ultimately responsible for the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) Benefit program. This program is comprised of BCBS Plan, Discounted Disability Insurance Plan, Dental Plan and Discounted Long-Term Disability. Barrett ensures the quality of service he provides when maintaining his accounts. In addition, Mr. Barrett has been instrumental in the start-up of a new casualty program offering discounts to veterinarians and their associates.

Barrett started out in the insurance business in 1960 in sales for Monarch Life Insurance Company, where he was employed for 32 years, the last 12 as the Detroit area manager. Since 1991, Bob Barrett has been working as the designated agent for the MVMA, in all areas of insurance, and has merged his agency with the Ralph C. Wilson Agency. Barrett is adamant about providing top-quality service to his clients, along with his associate John Kufchock.

Bob Barrett is past president of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Dad's club; he has 24 years of service in the ushers club; he was on the School Board at Marian High School; and he is currently the Vice President of Programs of the Oakland Serra Club. He is also a member of the Detroit Golf Club.
