Ed Rich, CLTC brings his over 22 years of long term care and life insurance experience to the Ralph C Wilson Agency, Inc.  He was appointed in January 2008 as director of long term care and life planning to give more options to our clients in the financial services industry.  In addition to long term care and life, Ed works with clients implementing “safe money strategies”, for those clients who are concerned with the volatility of the market and may wish to diversify.

Ed began his insurance career as a life and health sales agent with the Equitable in 1985.  In 1989, Ed joined a major insurance marketing firm recruiting and training agents in the areas of long term care and life.  Ed joined a large regional financial services firm in 2000, specializing in helping their financial advisors implement long term care planning to individuals and groups.  In 2007 he decided that his passion was to work with clients individually and brought his practice to Ralph C Wilson, Inc. in 2008.

Ed has both personal and professional experiences with Long Term Care issues.  He also learned at a very young age the importance of proper life insurance protection.  He prides himself on simplifying the understanding of assessing risk and has a great deal of empathy for clients in these challenging economic times.

Ed earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in mathematics and economics.  He resides in Huntington Woods, MI with his wife, stepdaughter dachshund and beagle.  Ed is also active with a community program called MentorWorks where he acts as a “big brother” to a teenage boy.
